Polka Disco

Enough said!

Possibly the two most hated words in music -- brought together for the first (and probably the last) time on this 1979 release from Jimmy Sturr and his orchestra. As if to add insult to injury, this record contains not one but two discs of the stuff -- 20 tracks in all. Maybe they recorded one track for every single person who wanted to see this album made.

k en the musician (carkenny@mts.net) says:
this record is not for everyone. But , at least it is played by people who have practised, and learned how to play an instrument. Nothing infuriates me more than computer generated drums and keyboards selling millions of cd's. Go to wall-mart and buy a $50 casio keyboard, press play, and it sounds like most of the stuff on top 40 radio!!! The world will still be talking about the Beatles 100 years from now, and Britney spears, Eminem will take thier rightfull place in the forgetable garbage bin of techno-krap. (12-04-2004)

Mad Dr. Matt (magob@aol.com) says:
You must not get out to Chicago from Cleveland much. The whole damn town would fall down if there was no Polka. Sausage, beer and polka - what could be better.
