Bill Cosby Sings

Hooray for the Salvation Army Band!

Check out Hooray for the Salvation Army Band! It's comedian Bill Cosby, singing his way through 12 fantastic musical numbers. It's hard to tell how "serious" Cosby was trying to be with his singing here, but these tracks are dead hilarious. Hooray for Bill Cosby!

Nothing's better than old scratched-up records, but if you've long since given your turntable away in the garbage, you can still enjoy Bill Cosby Sings thanks to a thoughtful CD re-reease on the Collectables record label. Buy it at Amazon.com today!

D. Smith (mrssurefire@webzone.net) says:
I am looking for teh album "Silver Throat." Can anyone tell me if it is still around? Can I purchase it on a CD just to listen to? Please advise where I can look for this. Thanks (06-30-2001)

The Lone Beatnik (cujoe76@yahoo.com) says:
Watch out, Lennon & McCartney... Sgt. Pepper gets some soul from the Cos! However, Cosby's singing sounds like he could scream 70s punk rock. Remember "Anarchy in the U.K."? And it is hard to describe his "Satisfaction" without discribing some Kama Sutra positions: he sounds like he wants some lovin'... y'know? He doesn't want satisfaction... he just wants some! Can you imagine Cos screeching the lyrics "I am an antichrist"? That would be magic. If anybody has a copy of this record for sale, please e-mail me (i want a copy of this..) (06-14-2001)

Smorgy Fjeldsted (sfjeldst@sjvls.lib.ca.us) says:
Lemme correct that. After meditating for days w/o food or drink, I now think the record is called
"Yes Yes Yes (Rat Own, Rat Own, Rat Own)" and can be found on the album BILL COSBY IS NOT HIMSELF THESE DAYS (RAT OWN , RAT OWN, RAT OWN) Capitol ST 11530, 1976. Of course I also now think that the world is flat and made of black polyvinylchloride
and that being a tennis player is a good cover for a spy and that Fat Albert would make a good cartoon show character. Quick! Somebody get me some food and water!! (05-25-2001)

Smorgy Fjeldsted (sfjeldst@sjvls.lib.ca.us) says:
Bill Cosby's spoof of Barry White was called
"Rat Own." It was definitely a 45, and almost certainly on an album but, unfortunately, I don't know the album's name. Now if only Barry White would parody The Coz.... (05-22-2001)

Shi (5and10@one.net) says:
I'm trying to find out what the song was (I want to say "Barely White"?) and what album it appeared on -- mid-70s where Cosby does a spoof on Barry White's style...and through it all comments "Right on, Right on..." ("for the man in the closet wearing my pajamas"...among other things) It was HYSTERICAL. Help!? (09-17-2000)

Gil (xtcrox@eudoramail.com) says:
I have this album ... not bad ...but if you want a really kick ass Bill Cosby "music" album, I highly recommend his disco album "Disco Bill" ..."GET DOWN! ...WITH THE CHICKEN!" (07-07-2000)

R.Ronan (Ronan111@aol.com) says:
I am looking for the bill cosby disco album. Might someone know where I can find it?... Thanx.. (07-01-2000)

Mister13 says:
Bill Cosby originally started out his career as a folk singer. His voice isnt bad at all. But IM glad he was found to be funny. (06-13-2000)

Anita (aleekley@uswest.net) says:
I have Bill cosby album called silver throat where he is singing songs. asking $100.00 (05-30-2000)

kid rock says:
I eat my own sperm! (05-22-2000)

Sammy Reed says:
I guess "Satisfaction" was kind of a follow-up to his version of "Uptight, Everything's Alright", where he kept rambling on about elephants and trains. (05-08-2000)

The Fez Meister says:
Sorry that should be "haven't tracked down Silver Throat" - bloody cheap keyboard (12-11-1999)
