Bill Cosby Sings

Hooray for the Salvation Army Band!

Check out Hooray for the Salvation Army Band! It's comedian Bill Cosby, singing his way through 12 fantastic musical numbers. It's hard to tell how "serious" Cosby was trying to be with his singing here, but these tracks are dead hilarious. Hooray for Bill Cosby!

Nothing's better than old scratched-up records, but if you've long since given your turntable away in the garbage, you can still enjoy Bill Cosby Sings thanks to a thoughtful CD re-reease on the Collectables record label. Buy it at Amazon.com today!

I have the lp of Bill Cosby Is Not Himself These Days (Rat Own Rat Own Rat Own), and I agree that it's hilarious. I'd love to get any versions of any of the songs, but what I'd really love is to buy a cd version. Does anyone know if it's available anywhere? (07-14-2006)

Andy Roman IV (aroman4@comcast.net) says:
I've been a longtime of comedian/actor Bill Cosby but I have to admit he's a not-so-great singer. I heard him do a spoof of Bill Withers' Just The Two Of Us during the opening credits of the movie Bill Cosby Himself("Just the 8 of us,stereos in every room". Cosby did sing that well. I'll just stick with the movie, his other movies,The Cosby Show,Cosby,I Spy and his comedy albums. (05-29-2006)

Scott (jsarizona@hotmail.com) says:
His singin as as smooth as the jello puddin goin down your throat. ok couldnt resist a jello pudding joke but at any rate you got to commend his effort on this record. But whats with the odd picture on the cover? (05-12-2006)

HI my name is janelle, i am 15 years old and i am a homeschooler. i use PHAA standerds and they require that you write a 2,500 word term paper on any subject. i decided that this year i would write about Bill cosby. i have found so many different opinions on him. some people like him, others think he is rude and mean to his staff. i think he is a great comedian and a great role model. I would love if i could ever see him in person and spend time with him. he seems like such a nice guy. my friends tell me this is all an act and that he did some bad things to some people. i think this is a lie. i think he is a nice person even though i have never met him. i feel like i know him becasue i grew up watching his show, "the cosby show". to this day i still watch the cosby show even though they are all reruns and i have seen them like a thousand times. because i am not in public school i do not know what other kids opinions are on him. i would greatly apreciate other opinions. i hope my term paper turns out well. Janelle (01-18-2006)

Christina (JPertinaci) says:
In school today we learned about Bill Cosby. I think that if Bill cosby would come to my school I think that all the people would under stand his life and all that he did to get as far as he is now. Many people don't under stand that Bill Cosby is a really nice guy. I have never met Bill Cosby before, but I know that he is a real nice guy. Some of my friends come up to me and tell me they really can't under stand all the things about Bill Cosby. I told them that it would be really cool if Bill Cosby wolud come to our school and tell the school about his life. They said that they would under stand Bill Cosby more if he would come in and tell the school about himself. It would still be cool even if he would come in 1,2,3,4,5,or even 6 years from now. I hope mabie Bill Cosby could come to
"Springdale High School." I am very interested in all that he did in his life. (12-07-2005)

Jennifer Washington (jcw424teach@aol.com) says:
I need to get in touch with Mr. Cosby. I am a educator at Choir Academy of Harlem in Manhattan NY, The home of the Boys Choir of Harlem. We need help to keep the school intact with the world famous Boys Choir. It is very disheartening how people are trying to dismantle the school. Yes! we need to improve the academic standards, as I said I am an educator. Please pass this message along to Mr. Cosby if at all possible. I want to save the children. The administration state they want what is best for the children, but just recently they are trying to find a way to fail each of the students who went on tour just on November 25, 2005 Once again Please help! (11-28-2005)

karamiaY says:
when I said "chick",in my previous email question,I meant chicken,not a girl. (11-14-2005)

karamiaY says:
Does anyone remember Bill Cosby doing a version of the song "You Sexy Thing"? The song was a hit by the band Hot Chocolate in the 70's. I saw Cosby doing the song on television, but I don't remember what show. Or maybe it was a video. I even remember that, for God knows what reason, there was a person dressed as a chick on stage with him. ?? I know I didn't dream this... (11-10-2005)

vick smith (Smith_vick@yahoo.com) says:
I have a Bill Cosby hard cover book for sale. "Love and Marriage". This ironic, I thought he had a love child outside of his marriage and an extra marital affair. This book must have been written before he got caught. (09-14-2005)

Sharon Parker (savvyone63@yahoo.com) says:
Actually, Bill Cosby sang on quite a few of his comedy albums. I love 'Yes, Yes. Yes (Rat on, Rat on)' (which I believe hot the R&B charts in the 70's) and "1-2-3" (which started out as 'That's all the teeth you have left... 1-2-3'). As I sit here and type, I am laughing because I remember sitting with my parents on the floor rolling with laughter. If any of his songs were ever released on CD, I would be the first in line to buy it!
BTW... If you watch the ending credits of 'The Cosby Show', you will see he was co-writer of the theme that morphed about six different ways. (08-17-2005)

LISA (LISA_KH@HOTMAIL.COM) says:
My disabled daughter absolutely adores Bill Cosby, does anyone out there have an address I can write to, so I could possibly get her a personalized autograph picture of him. Much appreciated. (08-15-2005)

Lara (we4rices@comcast.net) says:
Oddly enough, that's the same song I was searching for when I stumbled upon this site! I was doing searches for "little old man" and "everything is alright," to no avail. After really researching though, I'm sure that the song is actually "Reach Out (I'll be there)" from the 1968 album listed on this page. I have a really bad copy on a really old tape copied in the 70s, but have had NO luck finding a downloadable version online anywhere. I DID, however, find 3 copies of the 33rpm LP for sale on Ebay, if it's any consolation. Good luck & let me know if you have any success! (08-08-2005)
